Matthew is a senior associate in the litigation and dispute resolution team at Kardos Scanlan.
Matthew has over 14 years of experience in the field of commercial litigation. Throughout his career, he has successfully represented clients in a wide range of cases.
Matthew has acted for major telecommunications and mining companies in Supreme Court litigation, international corporations in Federal Court litigation, and online travel agencies in cases before civil law tribunals. He has extensive experience in contract, corporate, insolvency, consumer law, and restraint of trade disputes. He also has experience in class action litigation, local government and planning law, and personal injury claims.
Matthew’s deep understanding of the law and his strategic approach to each case have earned him a reputation for achieving favorable and pragmatic outcomes for his clients. He has been recognized in the Legal 500 as a key lawyer for Dispute Resolution: Litigation.
Matthew joined Kardos Scanlan in 2023. The best part of his job is working with really dedicated and switched-on clients and colleagues to achieve the best possible outcome.
Matthew holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Tasmania and a Master of Law from the Australian National University. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of Victoria and New South Wales, as well as the High Court of Australia.
