Recovery of Damages Against a Government Organisation in Relation to Water Rights
Kardos Scanlan commenced proceedings in the Supreme Court of NSW on behalf of the water rights holders
Default Judgment issued on an Improper Basis for an amount approaching $1,000,000
Kardos Scanlan were retained to obtain an injunction against the enforcement of that judgment, file an application to set aside the default judgment and defend or otherwise negotiate an acceptable outcome.
Within 2 days, we had successfully restrained the enforcement of the judgment and shortly thereafter, had negotiated a commercial settlement

Kardos Scanlan commenced proceedings in the Supreme Court of NSW and Court of Appeal where the registered proprietor authorised his relation to conduct all steps related to substantial residential building works, including obtaining all council approvals and collecting all proceeds of sale.
The purchaser of the completed development claimed that the relation that undertook the work committed fraud. The registered proprietor who was ultimately found to have done nothing untoward through his actions
